Kidz Matter

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

Mahatma Gandi

I want you to know that I care about young people! I want you to know that I enjoy spending time with children and learning from and WITH you!

You always tell me that I am a little bit silly, but I think you keep me young! As I’ve spent time working with different children, I’ve noticed that you may be small in size, but your feelings are the same as others around you – BIG!!!

Know that you can have BIG feelings and STILL be a light in the world.

This page is for the young people…for those who are often overlooked or maybe misunderstood in the world. For those who were told to stop talking. I’m writing directly to you, young person. I want you to know that you matter, and that the world will not change without your presence, your voice, or YOU!

“Manage your emotions or they will manage you”

Lou

You’re not expected to have it all together all the time.

You’re allowed to have feelings

& BIG feelings at that!

It IS up to you to learn how to manage your feelings. One of the things I used to really dislike as a little girl was when someone would tell me to “stop crying”…or when they would tell me that I didn’t have anything to be upset about because I was a child. Sound familiar? Your feelings matter.

But first, you & I have to learn to RECOGNIZE our feelings.

I want this page to be a place full of resources, fun facts, tips, and tricks to help you.

It begins with a conversation.

Tell Crystal what brought you here. You do not need to have the right words yet.

How can we reach you?

What would you like to talk about?

Thank you. Your message is on its way to Crystal.

She will reply by email.
